Star is a mini horse that loves people.We will take her to visit schools, nursing homes, Special Needs Centers,and anywhere that she can make some people happy.When visiting a school we tell the children about mini horses their likes and dislikes, the children can come up and pet Star, brush her or even just give her a hug. The hug seems to be the most popular. Teachers can use the visit as a fun learning tool by having children write an essay on what they learned from the visit, or the little ones could draw pictures or talk about the experience.
We do not charge schools for the visit. We will provide you with a letter that children can bring home to their parents informing them about Stars visit and offer them a photo of their child and Star. Photos will only be $7- of which your school will receive $2- for each one that signs up. The parents will receive a class photo with Star and an individual photo of their child with Star, the photos will be e-mailed to the parents. Photo monies help to support our ongoing mission to raise awareness about Mini Horses and most importantly make a lot of people smile. Mini horses are known for their therapeutic impact on people just by their presence. Due to their calm nature they have been used for therapeutic reasons in visiting ALFs, hospitals and Special needs facilities.
