Pat learned that there is a critical shortage of minority donors on the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) Registry and wanting to help, he launched “One Child’s Dream / Driving for Donors.” This spring and summer, Pat and his family willcaravan across the nation to hold donor recruitment drives in 30 cities.Pat’s goal is adding 2007 new donors to the National Marrow Registry in 2007 and you can help us get there! All it takes is a simple cheek swab to register! By joining the program, you can help give a second chance to a patient with Leukemia or one of more than 50 other life-threatening blood diseases. There is a $52 tissue typing fee in order to join the National Marrow Registry and Pat has been working hard to raise the $100,000 needed to add his 2007 new donors! He came up with a unique idea to advertise and is offering sponsor ad space on his bald head!
